Randomness

Just wanted to share a few more pictures from this weekend! First is of Lauren. We start our kids early with chores! No seriously I found her cleaning the table yesterday. I thought it was pretty cute. The next picture is Ian. Elise had a bow on one of her presents and we had been putting it on all the kids heads. Then we put it on Ian's head and said he was our early christmas present. A side note on Ian on Thursday he smiled at me for the first time. I was imitating him sticking his tongue out and everytime I did he smiled! So fun!!

While we were waiting for Elise's friends to come for her party. Jed, Elise and Lauren were having fun running back and forth! The last picture is of Jed. His primary teacher had made cookies for each of the kids with their pictures on it.

Elise's Birthday

Elise had her 6th birthday on Saturday. She invited 10 kids to come over for her birthday and 7 came. We had a good time playing animal bingo and having a treasure hunt! Elise requested me make a cake with a bike on it. I made one for Jed's 6th birthday when they both got bicycles. Well when she asked me to make it she didn't know she was going to be getting a new bike!
Here are a few more pictures from her birthday!

Updates from last week!

Here are some of the results of last week:

On Thursday we had Jed and Elise's Choir Concert in the Provo Tabernacle. I have pictures but I can't figure out how to get it off the internal memory. When I figure that out I will post the pictures. I even got a little bit of Jed's solo on video. They both did great! We were so proud of them!

Friday Jed and Elise got awards at the elementary school for Scholar for Jed and Special Recognition for Elise. Scholar means he did excellent on test, he turned in work on time and did well in his school work.

The Special Recognition award is for anything the teacher sees the student doing that they would like to recognize. Elise was recognized for being excellent in every way.
On Friday afternoon Jed and Elise had another assembly for singing. It was pretty cute and they both did very well.

Busy Week!

We have such a busy week this week! Tomorrow is our ward Christmas party. As most of you know Jed is in the Mapleton Children's Community Choir and Elise is in a music class. They will be singing in their Christmas concert on Thursday this week. Jed is one of the youngest members of the choir. It is for children 7-12 year old. He had to audition for a spot and the teacher was quite impressed! Elise is in a music class to learn music theory through games and other fun activities. I wish I had something like that when I was a kid!

On Friday Jed and Elise have an awards assembly at school. Both of them will be receiving awards. Jed's award is for being Scholar of the Month. Elise's award is for Special Recognition (I am not sure what that means). We are proud of them both! We also have to go a second time to the school for a program where Jed is a missionary in the 12 Days of Christmas Hawaiian Style.

Of course on Saturday it will be Elise's 6th birthday and we are having a party!! She is so excited. Preparations are slowly coming together for that! I would recommend that you do not have a baby so close to Christmas. It is not easy getting a birthday party done and worry about all the Christmas gifts and activities. That being said we are sure glad she is ours and can't believe she will be 6 years old already!

I am sure I will have pictures to share of some activity this week. I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday Season!

Temple Square Family Night

We went to temple square on Monday night for our Family night. We went with Kirk and Christy and their little family. It was cold but fun. We went to Burger King first for dinner. Then we were off to Temple Square. It was beautiful! I haven't been for at least fifteen years! It is a great way to celebrate the holidays in Utah!

Blessing Day!

On Sunday Ian was blessed. It was a nice day. Charles did a great job on the blessing itself. We had our bishop, Charles, my Dad, Padre, Kirk, Kyle and my Uncle Boyd in the circle. We had a dinner afterwards. We were able to visit with family. I am posting some pictures of Ian and our family that we took that day.
